As summer draws to a close…

As the summer draws to a close, I was craving for a swim for the last time. With the hassle of my exhibition, my only option was a half day get-away to the beach on the Black Sea coast in the city. Yes, jealous of the boys who plunge into the choppy waters of the blue Bosphorous with their underwear. Yes, jealous of the ones sunbathing on their yachts anchored at the quiet bays of the strait. Nevertheless, given the circumstances, my beach option -Burç Beach- is not that bad, let’s admit it! One of my havens in the city’s midst since my undergraduate days. A 45-min drive through the city’s greenest region takes you Gümüşdere, where the Kİlyos campus of Boğaziçi University is located.
